Gap Education
Gap Education facilitates a depth of knowledge that is much needed when working within a medical paradigm -- a depth too often lacking in dysphagia management. Gap Education facilitates genuine, conversation enabling practitioners and educators to reduce power distance, promote critical thinking, and bring the conversation to YOU, no matter your level of knowledge or number of years practicing.

Positive change thrives when we are,
1. Willing to seek & acknowledge gaps in our field,
2. Able to reflect & understand our own individual needs as medically focused SLPs and SLP students,
3. Committed to being authentic and vulnerable in conversation, putting the best interests of our patients before own our egos and comfort zones,
4. Brave enough to contribute within our own capacity, to actively expand our potential, and to ally with others who are united in a vision for a better standard of practice for medical SLP.

*Gap Education is not affiliated with RMU or SIG 13's Professional Development Committee, but it is an admirer of the great work both organizations have done to improve the field of SLP. There are many others doing an amazing job advancing our field, and we love to support our comrades in this mission.
We value synergy above competition.
